Manufacturing freight

Manufacturing

Raw materials in. Finished goods out. USMCA paperwork handled.

HAZMAT certified. Bonded in Canada and the USA. Cross-border freight for manufacturers who ship between plants, suppliers, and distribution centers across North America.

Manufacturing freight is different

Manufacturing supply chains cross the border multiple times. Steel enters Canada as raw material, gets processed into components, ships to a US plant for assembly, and the finished product ships back for distribution. Each crossing requires customs compliance, correct HS classification, and USMCA documentation.

In 2026, the stakes are higher. Steel and aluminum tariffs, USMCA review discussions, CARM’s digital customs enforcement, and FMCSA’s stricter carrier oversight have created an environment where a single documentation error can hold a load at the border for hours. For manufacturers running lean production schedules, that delay ripples through every downstream operation.

Driver shortages compound the problem. FMCSA’s English language proficiency enforcement and the non-domiciled CDL rule have reduced the available cross-border driver pool. Carriers without a stable, experienced driver workforce are scrambling — and their manufacturers’ freight is the one that gets delayed.

What we move for manufacturers

From raw inputs to finished goods — across the border and back.

Industrial raw materials

Steel, aluminum, plastics, chemicals. Inbound from US suppliers to Canadian plants, or outbound from Canadian processors to US manufacturers. HAZMAT certified for regulated materials.

Components & assemblies

Supplier-to-plant freight. Stampings, machined parts, electronic sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses. JIT schedules with guaranteed delivery windows for production-critical shipments.

Finished goods

Plant to distribution center, cross-dock, or direct to customer. FTL for full production runs. LTL for smaller batches. Cross-border compliance handled as part of the service.

HAZMAT & regulated freight

Industrial chemicals, coatings, solvents, battery materials. Our drivers are HAZMAT certified under both TDG (Canada) and 49 CFR (US). Proper placarding, documentation, and routing.

Temperature-sensitive materials

Adhesives, sealants, resins, and industrial coatings that degrade in extreme heat or cold. Reefer trailers with continuous temp monitoring ensure product integrity year-round.

Emergency & prototype

Production shutdowns, emergency parts, prototype shipments. Team drivers dispatched within hours. When the plant calls, we move — not tomorrow morning, now.
